ZUF Decries Inavi Impasse

IMPHAL, Mar 30: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), a militant outfit has said that it is minutely observing the development over Nagaland’s Beisimpuikam village and Naga United Village (Inavi) impasse.

The ZUF also said it strongly condemned the attack of the Naga United Village (Inavi) on the Beisimpuikam villagers of March 28.

“The Zeliangrong United Front is surprised to learn that villagers of the Inavi (Naga United Village) who are encroachers attacking the villagers of Beisimpuikam who are the native of the area,” said the ZUF today.  The Zeliangrong militant outfit then warned that the outfit will act upon those “non-Zeliangrong actors” who are carrying out unwanted activities in Zeliangrong areas.  “We cannot remain mute when non-Zeliangrongs are attacking our people,” said the ZUF. It said three innocent Zeliangrongs got severe injuries when the villagers of Inavi attacked them on March 28.

Meanwhile, re-iterating its earlier stand, the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has said the outfit stands to protect and preserve the unity and integrity of the fraternal Zeliangrong community, and ‘other minority groups’ and has warned against disturbing the status quo of that unity.

“ZUF stands to protect the natural resources, land and people, and to promote fraternity and assure individual dignity, as also to preserve the unity and integrity of Zeliangrong Inpui, Chiru and other minority groups bound by territorial jurisdiction.”
