The scribes, under the aegis of AMWJU had boycotted all positive news related to the State Government, its party the Congress (I), its ally in the SPF the CPI and particularly the Home Department to protest the arrest of A Mobi on trumped up charges.

The boycott also covered all functions and programs involving Ministers and MLAs of the ruling SPF Government. The decision to suspend the agitation was taken during an emergency general body meeting of AMWJU held this evening.

In case, the FIR filed against A Mobi is not withdrawn by February 25, then AMWJU would resume the suspended agitation as well as take up other intense form of democratic protests.
