Right to self determination is a right guaranteed by the United Nations said Araba while Priyokumar maintained that after the British left in 1947, Manipur automatically returned to its sovereign status. But after 1949, the seeds of discord began to rear its ugly head; he said and asserted that plebiscite is the best option to resolve the conflict.

Sorojini Leima, in her address, charged that the modesty of a number of women in Manipur have been violated by security personnel while many precious lives have been snuffed out. All these are outcomes of the Indo-Manipur conflict and plebiscite is the answer to bring a resolution.

After the meeting two resolutions were passed  and adopted with the first categorically stating that the public of Manipur must be involved in any process to resolve the Indo-Manipur conflict and secondly to highlight the points as well as the resolutions to the United Nations as well as other international human rights groups.
