The event aimed at promoting peace and tranquility in Manipur by bringing people of different faiths. We have been present in Manipur for last 60 years and seeing the situation in the region very closely.

We would like to give the people of Manipur and people of the country a message that people should live together in peace and harmony,” said Pritam Chheytri, joint secretary, the Catholic Committee.

A small handicraft fair was organized at the venue where bamboo and textile products were displayed. He fair aimed to promote local artisans by giving them a platform to showcase their skills and products. During the event the role played by the catholic mission in Manipur in education and health sector was especially praised.

“The biggest thing is that we are able to bring people of different faiths together at a single platform. It is itself a great sign of peace and harmony,” said Charles, the event coordinator.
