DPC Face Candidates Demand, Threaten Stir

IMPHAL, Jan 27: Setting January 31 as deadline to the Government for declaration of the DPC results in connection with recruitment of 1500 Primary Teachers, All Manipur DPC Faced Candidates’ Association for Primary Teachers, 2006 has warned of launching intense agitation if the Govt fails to meet the demand.

Addressing a press conference in this regard at Manipur Press Club this afternoon, Association president Th Suresh pointed out that the Government had conducted the DPC for recruitment of 1500 regular posts of Primary Teachers in 2006. But the results of the DPC have not been declared till date.

Instead of declaring the DPC results and extending offer forms to the selected candidates, the Government has been changing its stand every now and then, with the latest being the move to appoint Primary Teachers on contract basis. Such flippancy on the part of the Government is unacceptable and it should come out a definite stand on the issue by January 31.

Otherwise, the Association may be constraint to launch various intense agitations, Suresh said, adding that the Association has already made necessary measures for launching intense agitation with effect from February 1. The Government should be held responsible for any eventuality in this regard, he added.
