Cabinet Nods

IMPHAL, Apr 2: The State Cabinet has today given its approval to setting up of Civil Judge Senior Division in the rank and power of Chief Judicial Magistrate one each for Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Ukhrul district.

According to a reliable source, the Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh also decided to revise the monthly salary of the Judicial Officers in Manipur as in other States.

Furthermore, the Cabinet gave its approval to appointment of Md Tajuddin, son of slain Pallel Zilla Parishad member Md Sahabuddin, to the post of Graduate teacher under Education Department.

Sources said that Md Tajuddin is currently studying MBA after completing graduation from Delhi University and the Cabinet took note of this in its recommendation.

Today’s Cabinet meeting also discussed issues related proposal on construction of 100-bedded hospitals, one each for Imphal East, Imphal West, Ukhrul, Senapati, Tamenglong, Chandel and Moreh. Though no definite decision has been taken in this, it was agreed in-principle to translate the proposal into action at the earliest possible, the source added.
